Cross-platform bookmark sync · Local-first
Your bookmarks, the same on every device.
Shiorly manages bookmarks the local-first way: install and go, no login required, and sign in only when you want to sync across devices. Server-side merge keeps every device consistent — nothing gets lost, versions are recoverable, and AI can classify, tag, and summarize for you.

Read state at a glance
A four-state sync color language
Every bookmark carries exactly one state. Row bars, badges, and dots share one palette — no need to open a sync panel to know which item is unsynced or in conflict.
Local and cloud match — all good.
Just added or changed on this device, not yet uploaded.
Saved on another device, waiting to be pulled down.
Changed on multiple devices — every version kept for you to choose.
Let bookmarks grow their own structure
One AI pass: category + tags + summary
One analysis = fetching the page content once + one inference, producing category, tags, and summary together. Metered per pass, never re-run when content is unchanged; bring your own API key once the quota runs out.
Auto-categorize
Reads the content and files the bookmark into the right topic collection — scattered links gain structure.
Generate tags
Extracts key tags from the content for easy cross-collection search and grouping.
Content summary
One line on what the bookmark is about, so you don’t have to reopen it later.
Why Shiorly
Every detail of doing bookmarks right
Not just another cloud favorites folder — local-first, smart merge, recoverable versions, and AI to organize, making cross-device sync genuinely reliable.
Smart multi-device merge
Changes from every device gather in the cloud and merge automatically, resolved by time, so all devices end on one result — no lost items.
Local-first, works without login
Install and go; bookmarks land locally first. Sign in to enable cloud sync when you want to go cross-device — your data stays in your hands.
One AI analysis
Fetch the page content + one inference produce category, tags, and summary together. Re-importing the same content auto-deduplicates, sparing your quota.
Smart tag organizing
Add tags by hand or with AI, sort bookmarks by topic, and search and gather across collections fast.
Version history & conflict choice
When changed in two places at once, the losing version is fully kept as history. View the timeline in a drawer and promote an old version back to current with one click.
Duplicate merge
Detect duplicate bookmarks, list the pairs to merge, and combine them into one with a click — keeping your library clean.
Trash & restore
Deleted bookmarks go to the trash; within the retention window you can restore in one click and sync across devices. No panic over accidental deletes.
Extension + Web in one
The browser extension and the web app share the same pages and sync engine — switch devices or browsers and it’s the same set of bookmarks.
Three steps to start
How it works
From install to multi-device sync, local-first all the way — you control when each step goes to the cloud.
- 01
Install and use
Add Shiorly to your browser and manage your existing bookmarks right away — no sign-up, all local.
- 02
Sign up to unlock the trial
Signing up starts a 30-day Plus trial: auto sync + up to 50,000 bookmarks (AI is Pro-only), no card required.
- 03
Stay consistent across devices
Changes sync to the cloud and other devices update to the same set; when the trial ends you drop to Free with your data untouched.
Simple, transparent · one difference: AI
Pricing
Both paid tiers get auto sync and up to 50,000 bookmarks — they differ in one thing: AI. Plus is pure private sync (your bookmarks are never sent to an LLM); Pro adds AI analysis on top. Sign up for a 30-day Plus trial, no card required.

Still have questions
FAQ
Common questions about usage, data, sync, and billing.
- Is Shiorly free?
- Yes. The Free tier is usable forever: local bookmark management without login, and after signing in you can manually sync to the cloud (up to 200). Signing up also auto-starts a 30-day Plus trial with auto sync and up to 50,000 bookmarks (AI analysis is Pro-only) — no card required.
- What happens after the 30-day Plus trial?
- It auto-downgrades to Free: background auto sync stops (manual sync still works), but your bookmark data stays untouched. Even if cloud bookmarks exceed the Free limit, they are kept read-only (no new additions) — never deleted or locked.
- What is the difference between Plus and Pro?
- Both get background auto sync and up to 50,000 cloud bookmarks — the only difference is AI. Plus is pure private sync: your bookmarks are never sent to an LLM, with no AI analysis. Pro adds AI analysis (2,000 / month) on top, and lets you bring your own API key beyond the quota.
- How is AI analysis billed?
- AI analysis is a Pro-exclusive feature, metered per “analysis”: fetching the page content once + one inference, producing category, tags, and summary together. Only Pro has a quota — 2,000 / month; Free and Plus have no AI (Plus is pure private sync, so bookmarks are never sent to an LLM). Re-importing unchanged content auto-deduplicates and is not charged again. Once the quota runs out you can supply your own API key (BYOK) to keep analyzing.
- Can I use it without logging in?
- Yes. Shiorly is local-first: install the extension and manage bookmarks locally, no sign-up. You only need to log in when you want to sync across devices, and AI analysis is available on Pro.
- Is my bookmark data safe?
- Data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted. We only store the bookmark content and structure you choose to sync; we do not sell your data or track your web browsing. BYOK API keys are stored encrypted and never echoed back or written to logs. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Which browsers are supported?
- A cross-browser extension (Chromium-based and Firefox), plus a web app you can open in any modern browser — the same account’s bookmarks stay consistent across both.
- Will simultaneous changes on multiple devices conflict?
- Multi-device sync merges centrally in the cloud: concurrent changes are resolved smartly by time, the losing version is fully kept as history, and you can review it on the version timeline and roll back in one click — nothing is silently lost.
- How do I cancel a subscription or request a refund?
- Subscriptions can be canceled any time before the renewal date and continue until the end of the current period before downgrading; refunds follow our Refund Policy and our Merchant of Record’s rules, including a cooling-off period on your first payment.
